Whilst the Wigan Warriors were making history in Las Vegas, the GP electrical team, cooperatively with LDL Lighting Ltd, were hard at work in their home Gym.

The Warriors sought to upgrade its ceiling lighting system in the team gym, replacing standard lamped ceiling lights with LDL’s Bespoke LED fittings for a modern, efficient, and customisable solution. The goal was to enhance aesthetics, improve energy efficiency, and provide flexible lighting control tailored to different workout areas.

To meet the client’s needs, a new suspended LDL-supplied linear LED lighting system was installed. The design featured bespoke dimmable fittings in both white and cherry red LED options, strategically placed at different heights to create a dynamic visual effect and enhance the gym’s ambience.

The lighting was integrated with a Bluetooth switching arrangement, ensuring seamless control. Additionally, the system was compatible with the Casambi app, allowing users to customise lighting levels for different sections of the gym as needed. This feature provided gym staff and management with full control over brightness and colour settings, optimising the environment for various activities.
