Refurbishment
The Works
The refurbishment of the Rivington Unit started with a complete removal of all existing fittings and fixtures, essentially going back to a bare shell. Subsequently, we replaced a large proportion of the first fix elements in terms of electrical and mechanical. This was followed by a new ceiling grid installation throughout the whole of the ward, as well as plastering, decoration, second fixing of electrical and mechanical elements, flooring installation and custom joinery. The refurbishment of the ward has enabled us to create a safe and welcoming environment for vulnerable people to access the care/ guidance they need. In addition to the internal works, we have also refurbished the external bin store, the ward entrance and completed a full roof replacement.
Outcome
We have successfully completed and handed over the following spaces within the Rivington ward: faith room, ablution room, internal bin store, internally cleaners store, external bin store, main reception and entrance both internal and external and communal areas.
Client feedback
"Overall this was an excellent run project, the contracts and site manager were very effective at highlighting issues at an early stage and dealing with these in a very time effective period."
