Jennie Ashall and Brian Donelly MCIOB from Greenmount Projects joined Samantha Dean and Michael Bamford from DAY Architectural Ltd to deliver a workshop for Manchester Metropolitan University Interior Design students. The session aimed to provide insight into real-world project delivery, covering the journey from concept and interior design through to on-site construction completion.
Students were given site tours of the live Careers Hub project, offering a unique opportunity to explore a building mid-construction. With work temporarily paused, they could visualise the space in its unfinished state and compare it to completed elements side by side.
To enhance the experience, DAY Architectural provided QR codes that allowed students to view a 3D model of the finished space while standing within the live site. The Greenmount Projects team also discussed the practical constraints and challenges involved in construction delivery, giving students a realistic view of the building process.
We would like to thank Manchester Met for hosting us. It was an inspiring day engaging with future leaders in interior design and providing practical insight into the industry.
