As a Contracts Manager for Greenmount Projects, Lee’s day begins in the office, where he methodically works through emails, addresses urgent correspondence, and handles various administrative tasks. His responsibilities include creating detailed project programmes, compiling Construction Phase Plans (CPPs), preparing client progress meeting reports, and conducting comprehensive project reviews to ensure everything is on track.
On this day, Lee took part an internal review meeting to assess the costs of an upcoming project, ensuring budget alignment and financial efficiency. He also collaborated with our Procurement Manager, Jayne Boothe, to discuss procurement requirements for an ongoing project, strategise supplier selection, and ensure timely material availability for the project’s success.
Once the office work is complete, Lee heads out to visit ongoing project sites, ensuring smooth operations and addressing any challenges that arise. On this particular day, he first visits Greater Manchester Mental Health’s Central Park, where he meets with the site manager to discuss the progress of ongoing works, resolve any issues, and align on next steps. Following this, he travels to Gilling Dod to review the project programme in detail, assess the current stage of work, and collaborate with the team to maintain efficiency and quality standards.
Lee’s role is pivotal in ensuring projects run seamlessly, meeting both client expectations and industry regulations while harnessing strong communication between all stakeholders. His ability to balance office-based strategic planning with on-site management highlights the dynamic nature of his work at Greenmount Projects.
