80 Miles for 80 Years
A group of veterans employed by Wigan Council are set to embark on an 80-mile, four-day trek from Wigan Town Hall to the National Arboretum, where they will lay a wreath on Remembrance Sunday to commemorate the D-Day landings. In the past year, there has been a 14% increase in ex-service personnel living on the streets, as times grow tougher. We want to help them rebuild their lives. Any funds raised will provide shelter, clothing, medication, and education. They've served their country—now it's time to support them in their hour of need.
Greenmount Projects are proud to sponsor the walk and will have members of the team taking part. A huge thank you to all who have donated to the challenge with items such as support vehicles by Westwood Motors, clothing by K and A Workwear, signage by The Sign shop and any donations.
The goal of the walk is to Raise money for The Royal British Legion, a great charity who support the forces.
